Two Weeks in One

Day Something or Other - Saturday, March 27, 2010

This week was much colder and more conducive to free park ranging than the warm days of last week were and I found the majority of my coins in the past 4-5 days. I've also been bringing my nephew with me quite a bit and thus I even go to the play areas when kids are present. I avoid the kids as much as possible for the obvious reason that nobody likes some guy probing the ground while their precious children are in the same vicinity. Plus the natural reaction is for the kid to say, "What are you looking for?" "Can I help?" "Do you find gold?" I try to say as little as possible to them and get the hell away ASAP. Mainly because it's not wise to let them feel comfortable talking to strangers and also so that I don't have a police cruiser coming up to me and asking what I'm doing at the park etc etc. It's pretty sad that the world has come to that but so it is. Of course I could just go to the fields and toil for my coins but until I check the playground areas out first I'm staying away from the damp, muddy fields.
