Monday is Funday or Something Like That

Day One Hundred-Twenty Three - Monday, June 29

After a rather spectacular fireworks show last night at the Livonia Spree the minions of metal detective descended upon the area like wet rats to clamor for loose change, jewelry and god knows what. Well, even with stiff competition I still managed a good pocket load of mostly clad. Our Canadian friends sent along a half dozen of their pennies and I gladly scooped up the leaf and the loonie as if they were our own penny. The football shaped chunk of metal must be some kind of surveying tool. I'm not sure why it must be but that's the first thing I thought of besides it was a fishing weight from 10,000 years ago but that doesn't quite make sense. Forgive my stupidity and look at the coins, would ye?
